During his lifetime, Dr. Ronald J. Seibel established this scholarship fund to aid students pursuing certificates or degrees in agriculture. Dr. Seibel was a fervent advocate for agricultural education as a former teacher and the longtime director of the Institute of Applied Agriculture at the University of Maryland.
By May 1, 2023, both prize announcements will have been made.
The entire announcements, the online application, and application information are all available on the MAEF website.
A nonprofit organization dedicated to advancing agricultural education and literacy, MAEF offers programs for audiences from pre-kindergarten to post-secondary levels. The “Infusing Ag in the Classroom” professional development seminars for teachers, mobile science laboratories, mobile agricultural displays, and Maryland FFA are some of the MAEF’s flagship activities. MAEF promotes the value of agriculture in everyone’s daily lives through gifts, grants, program fees, and profits from Maryland’s “ag tag” license plate.
